Town offices have opened its doors once again to the public on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.  We are still adhering to CDC recommendations pertaining to Covid-19 regulations and restrictions.  If you visit any of our buildings, please expect to:

  • Wear a mask - masks are mandatory.  If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.
  • Social distancing - will be practiced throughout town facilities.  Space inside some of our buildings is very limited. We ask that you keep this in mind when entering one of our facilities. Maintain six (6) feet of distance between you and the next individual.  If there isn't enough space inside, please wait outside until the space is clear before you enter.  This is particularly important if you make a payment or inquire about setting up services at the Pineville Communications and Electric Building
  • Hand Sanitizing Stations - have been set up in the lobbies of our Police Bldg, Communications and Electric Bldg., Town Hall, the Belle Johnston Community Center and the Hut Meeting Facility. Please use them.

Additionally, town staff will be wiping and sanitizing lobby areas throughout the day to maintain as safe an environment as possible.  The town takes the safety and well-being of all seriously and will do its part in mitigating the spread of the coronavirus.

Here are a few other things to keep in mind as town offices reopen:

Pineville Communications and Electric - There will be a limit as to the number of individuals that will be allowed inside the lobby at any given time. Customers can utilize the DRIVE-THROUGH kiosk located in the parking lot in front of the building to conduct most transactions.  Setting up services, bill inquiries and payments can be taken over the phone:  704-889-2001 or the website: www.pinevillenc.gov.  Please use these services if you are able.

Belle Johnston Community Center - many of the programs and activities offered by Pineville Parks and Recreation have begun to start up once again but with restrictions. The last quarter newsletter (Oct-Nov-Dec) has spelled out restrictions/requirements for those classes/activities that have opened back up.  Please visit the P& R page of the website or the newsletter section of the website for details. Questions pertaining to P&R activities can be directed at: 704-889-2400.

Pineville Town Hall - will also be reopening for services such as sign, special events or yard sale permits, ABC Opinion Form drop-off,  notary services and various Planning & Zoning-related services.  Additionally, a small quantity of the latest issue of Pineville Today will be available in the vestibule near the information carousel, along with free leaf bags that are also available to residents free of charge.  Leaf bags come in bundles of (5) five. You may help yourself to any of these items.  Questions and payments for permits/fines can be made over the phone:  704-889-2291.

Town Council Meetings - will resume in person on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. with restrictions.  The number of attendees will be limited to whatever the six-foot distancing requirements will allow - the exact number has not yet been determined but estimated at around 20 +/- individuals.  Masks will be required (and available if you do not have one) and temperatures taken if deemed necessary.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.  Please be respectful of yourself and others.  Wear a mask and stand six feet from others! Thank you.
