Polk Historic Site lately?  Maybe it's time to take a closer look at all they have to offer.  The site is still open even though the Polk Street Bridge is closed...it just takes a little maneuvering to get to it.  If you are traveling south on NC51, take a left onto Carolina Place Pkwy.
