PINEVILLE Neighbors Place is planning it's second annual Potato Drop in the old police building parking lot located at the corner of Main and Church Streets on Saturday, October 28, 2017 beginning at 9:00 a.m.  About 40,000 pounds of potatoes are being delivered and volunteers are needed to help bag the potatoes.   This is a great way to have the community come together and help out the hungry.  For more information and to sign up, please click HERE.

The Town of Pineville plans to contract with a firm whose combination of experience and expertise will provide timely, cost-effective services to the Town for the completion of asbestos abatement, debris removal and limited demolition services at the former Cone Mill Site located at 436 Cone Avenue in Pineville, NC.   Mandatory pre-bid meeting prior to bid submittal on October 5, 2017. OCTOBER 11, 2017 Mecklenburg County Solid Waste and Republic Services has announced two sites also having Free Shredding Day on November 4, 2017.  This event will be conducted by Stericycle, a professional document destruction company.  The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon and will be held at the following two sites: Compost Central and Recycling Center 140 Valleydale Rd, Charlotte, NC 28214 and at: Foxhole Recycling Center 17131 Lancaster Hwy., Charlotte, NC...
