Three public meetings have been scheduled by Mecklenburg County to obtain comments from citizens on preparing the Action Plan for the county's community development programs. Mecklenburg County expects to receive $674,000 in funding for the Community Development Block Grant program and would like input from the public on project ideas to be funded by the grant money. The sewer lines and pavement project in the Eden Circle, Cone Ave. and Hill St. areas is almost completed as crews work to finish up details. Please note that due to the 4th of July holiday on Saturday, garbage pickup for this week will be delayed by one day.  Regular household trash will be picked up on Thursday, July 9th, not on Wednesday.  Regular pickup for trash and recycling will resume next week.

Pineville Town Hall, along with Pineville Telephone and Electric and the Belle Johnston Community Center will all be closed on Good Friday, April 3rd.  We will reopen on Monday, April 6th. Trash pickup will remain on its normal schedule.  Happy Easter!
The town’s annual JUNK RUN usually held in April will be held during the second week of May, 2015.  We haven’t forgotten — we’re just running a little behind but we still want to collect your junk.  This year, our dedicated Public Works employees will be out during the week of May 11th through May 15th riding through town picking up any unwanted, old items that you no longer have a need for.  So go on and get that spring cleaning started — y...
