The last day for Christmas tree pickup was Friday, January 15th.   No trees will be picked up after this date. Residents will need to dispose of them on their own as Signature Waste will not take them.  The closest facility that will accept Christmas trees is the Foxhole Recycling Center located at 17131 Lancaster Highway or you may call 704-336-7600 for more information.

The Town of Pineville was approved to participate in the Urban Archery Program which extends the deer hunting season from January 9, 2016 until February 13, 2016 by way of archery only as a way of reducing the deer population and, thus, decreasing vehicular accidents with them.  There is a set of rules that must be followed if you plan to participate in the program. Three public meetings have been scheduled by Mecklenburg County to obtain comments from citizens on preparing the Action Plan for the county's community development programs. Mecklenburg County expects to receive $674,000 in funding for the Community Development Block Grant program and would like input from the public on project ideas to be funded by the grant money. The sewer lines and pavement project in the Eden Circle, Cone Ave. and Hill St. areas is almost completed as crews work to finish up details.
