April Field Trip

Childress Vineyards

We will be visiting the beautiful Childress Vineyards and take an educational winery tour that gives a history of the vineyards and an insight at how their wines are made. Along this 30 minute walking tour, their beautifully landscaped grounds and venues are showcased as you enjoy a complimentary pour of their Wine of the Month.

Date: Wednesday, April 24th

Fee: $25. Bring money for lunch.

We will leave the community center at 9am, stop for lunch and return around 3:30pm. Book your seat today using our online reservation system. Limited seats available.

May Field Trip

Lake Lure Boat Tours

Lake Lure Boat Tours is a wonderful way to see the beautiful lake, local attractions, and landmarks such as the location used in filming the popular Dirty Dancing movie. You will also learn a lot about the natural and cultural history of the Hickory Nut Gorge area, home to Lake Lure, North Carolina. Lastly, the homes on Lake Lure are amazing!
