A: Welcome! Pineville offers a variety of communication services including telephone, internet, IPTV (cable) services as well as electric service to most homes. You may call Pineville Communications at (704) 889-2001 or Pineville Electric (704) 889-2292. Both are located at 118 College Street next to the Pineville Post Office.
Pineville does not have its own water department so you will need to contact Charlotte Water (formerly CMUD) at (704) 336-7600 to set up an account. Areas outside the town limits with a Pineville address likely have water service through Carolina Water at (704) 525-7990 .
A: If you live within the town limits, you may call Waste Pro directly at (980) 255-3800 to start your service or Town Hall at (704) 889-2291 and we will arrange to have services started for you. Each resident should have one rollout container for trash and one rollout recycling cart. Some residents may have a Pineville address but are not technically within the town limits but part of unincorporated Mecklenburg County. You will need to contact a waste provider of your choice to contract separately with them for trash services. Additional information regarding trash service and the current pick-up schedule is also available here.
A: The Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System offers Pineville Elementary for grades K-5, Quail Hollow for grades 6-8, and South Mecklenburg for grades 9-12. A: In addition to cash, check and money orders, we now accept Visa and MasterCard in person or over the phone to pay your phone bill, electric bill or both! And you now have the option of paying your bill(s) online right here on our website.
A: We’re a small town with big ideas! Pineville’s population is roughly 11,000 people and we’re home to a variety of restaurants to suit even the most discriminating tastes. We’re also known for our shopping. Take a casual stroll down Main Street to browse through quaint shops for that perfect find or vist the Carolina Place Mall for all the latest trends and fashions. If it’s furniture you want, we have that, too, along with two beautiful parks and our Belle Johnston Community Center offering a variety of programs to satisfy all of your recreational needs. Churches, congregations, and houses of worship for all faiths can be found in the Pineville area as well as a variety of medical facilities including the Atrium Health – Pineville. At only about 5 1/2 square miles, we’re small but we have it all. We strive to maintain our historic, small town feel and ask our residents and business owners to keep their properties neat and free of clutter and debris. Let’s all have PRIDE IN PINEVILLE!
