Per Charlotte Water:

Spray grounds and splash pads are considered water features and are thereby prohibited with the following exception: Community spray grounds subject to inspection by the applicable Heath Department qualify as community and business use and therefore are not subject to the specific stage 2 water use restrictions. The Pineville splash pad would not be restricted because it would be considered a community use. We will continue monitoring drought conditions and watering restrictions from Charlotte Water and may adjust operations if necessary. By design, our splash pad uses a recirculating system that cleans and reuses water while operating, helping conserve water while you stay cool and have fun.
